National Drug Testing Associations

Accredited Drug Testing is committed to providing the highest levels of professionalism and quality drug, alcohol and DNA testing services throughout the United States. As an active member of the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association(DATIA) Accredited Drug Testing participates in DATIA Conferences and Accreditation programs for the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry. DATIA also provides its members with representation on the State and National level regarding regulatory and legislative matters affecting the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry. The president of Accredited Drug Testing Inc also serves as a member of the DATIA Legislative Affairs Committee. Founded in 1995 the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association represents collection sites, laboratory’s, Consortiums, TPA’s and Medical Review Officers.

Accredited Drug Testing Inc is also an active member of the Substance Abuse Administrators Association (SAPAA Worldwide). The Substance Abuse Administrators Association mission is to establish, promote and communicate the highest standard or quality, integrity and professionalism in the administration of work place substance abuse prevention programs through education, training and the exchange of ideas. SAPA hosts annual conferences, educational seminars and training programs for substance abuse professionals and Accredited Drug Testing Inc participates in these educational conferences on a regular basis.

Department Of Transportation & US Coast Guard Information

The United States Department of Transportation, Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy and Compliance establishes and enforces compliance with all drug and alcohol testing requirements as established by 49 CFR, Part 40. While DOT is commonly considered to be involved in the regulation of truck drivers and the trucking industry (CDL Licenses) by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. The Department of Transportation also regulates and enforces the Drug and Alcohol Testing Requirements for the Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Railroad Administration Pipeline and Hazardous Materiel Administration and the Federal Transit Administration. While DOT establishes the overall criteria and requirements for these agencies, each individual agency may modify their drug testing program as it relates to their individual requirements such as random selection parameters for drug and alcohol testing. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) while adopting most of DOT’s drug and alcohol testing requirements has established its own drug and alcohol testing requirements as an agency under the authority of Homeland Security.
