Paternity Test
The results of a paternity test are potentially life-changing. For that reason, all ADT staff members are trained and certified to conduct paternity tests in compliance with an extensive identification and chain of custody procedure in order to ensure that test results are accurate and admissible in a court of law. All Accredited Drug Testing centers provide professional, courteous, and confidential DNA paternity test services.

A professional ADT technician will collect a DNA sample and the specimens are then shipped to our AABB accredited laboratory where the test is conducted. DNA paternity test results are signed by a doctor and are generally emailed to you within a week. A hard copy of the test results is then sent by mail.
Legal Paternity Test
As with all DNA tests, in order for the results of a DNA paternity test to be admissible in a court of law, specimens must be collected and tested by a professional DNA testing center. These results may then be used to change a name on a birth certificate, petition for child custody, establish paternity for child support purposes, change wills and estates, and prove rights of inheritance.
ADT requires individuals to make appointments for all legal paternity tests and the alleged father will be required to present one form of a government issued photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport. Minors may submit a social security card or birth certificate, and hospital discharge papers are required for newborns.
Confidential paternity tests can be conducted at any location utilizing the Accredited Drug Testing mobile on-site program service.
